LG,Samsung to launch Full HD smartphones in 2013

LG and Samsung will be launching smartphones with Full HD LCD and AMOLED displays, with the resolution more than 400ppi in the First Half of 2013.

In comparison, Apple's iphone 5 has a retina display,with a pixel density of 326ppi.

Earlier in May, LG Display (LGD) unveiled a five-inch display panel with a density of 440 ppi for smartphones at an exhibition of the International Meeting on Information Display (IMID). LG Electronics will be manufacturing full HD smartphones in H1 next year, using the 440-ppi display panel supplied by LGD.

Samsung Electronics also plans to purchase full HD AMOLED display panels from Samsung Display to load them on its smartphones to be marketed in H1 next year. So far, the Galaxy Nexus (316 ppi) has had screen display with the highest level of ppi among smartphones launched by Samsung, but the screen display to be loaded on the new smartphone model will feature a pixel density over 400 ppi.

However Samsung and LG may face tough competition from other manufacturers,Because HTC unveiled the first smartphone i.e HTC J Butterfly with Full HD display and phone will be available in Japanese market by December.

Sony will also roll out the C650X Odin, a smartphone with five-inch HD displays, in around December.

LG Nexus Will Launch On October 29

This below Information came from french publication Le Figaro.

Is this a sign of a sense of fairness to Google, anxious not to offend builders chose its Android operating system? Its next smartphone, the Nexus 4, this year will be manufactured by LG. The South Korean group succeeds compatriot Samsung, Google partner for the Nexus S (2011) and the Galaxy Nexus (2012), and Taiwan's HTC, which had produced the first Nexus (Nexus One, in 2010).
Like the three previous models of the Nexus, Nexus 4 is the result of a collaboration between Google and its partner. For Google, the Nexus should be the benchmark for other manufacturers of Android smartphones. Nexus 4 is actually based on one of the latest models of LG Optimus G. It should include a high definition display, an 8 megapixel camera, a Qualcomm S4 Pro and a wireless charging, as the latest Nokia Lumia 920, according to the website MoDaCo .

Samsung remains an important partner

Nexus 4 will be launched on October 29, told Le Figaro. In France, it will be marketed in early December. It might help LG to boost its sales. After a lackluster 2011, the South Korean manufacturer is already ironed occasionally above the 5% market share in some countries, including France, thanks to the L-range of smartphones released this year (L3, L5, L7 and L9), according to GfK data weekly. LG also plans to focus on its range of Android phones. The Korean does not launch new Windows 8 for now.

Range of smartphones Nexus, however, have never been major commercial successes. During the trial against Apple, Samsung said that Galaxy Nexus sales remained " tiny "in the United States. Without Nexus, Samsung remains an important partner for Google, since it is he who will produce its future high-end tablet . The first tablet model from Google, the Nexus 7, is itself produced by Asus.

Lastly there is some disappointing information, regarding the internal storage. It is being said that phone has only 8 GB of Internal storage and just like previous Nexus device there is no microSD card slot.If true,it will be an absolute poor decision on Google/LG's part.8 GB is too less for handset, that otherwise sports top notch specifications We honestly doubt Google/LG will ship the phone with so little memory and think this specification could be changed by the time the phone is announced.

Galaxy Note II firmware update comes with multiview and multitasking support

The Samsung Galaxy Note II in Europe today received a new firmware update that adds a multi-view function. What is multi-view? It is a slick feature that allows users to have two windows open on one screen. This opens up tons of options for multitasking in a more computer-like way.
Imagine watching a movie on your device and having an IMDB window open at the same time to find out who the stars of said movie are. The potential uses for this new feature are nearly limitless. Of course, not all Android apps support this feature, but as more devices have the feature we expect more apps to start using it.
New Galaxy Note II devices in stores had this feature installed already, and it is good to see Samsung issuing the feature for devices already in the wild. Right now the new firmware is available in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. Besides multi view, it is not clear what else is included in this updated firmware.

Users can update their devices over the air or using Samsung KIES. Either way, if you live in one of the supported regions, you should be able to get this new firmware right now.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II comes pre-installed with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean
The first firmwares are specially for France and the United Kingdom.
You can download firmwares for both countries from our Firmware page.
