Taiwan Economic Daily News Reporting that Asia's Mobile Phone Chip Leader MediaTek has landed order for its MT8135 big.LITTLE MP SoC from Amazon.The company will use this chip in its low cost Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet and will rill release the device in first Half of 2014.
Volume production for Quad Core Chips has been started by this month.The chipset consits of two clusters :Dual Cortex A15 cores and Dual Cortex A7 Cores and in this both A15 and A7 cores perform simultaneously.In the original big.LITTLE architecure only one cluster works at same time depends on WorkLoad. It also features a powerVR Series 6 GPU(PowerVR 6200) which can deliver four times the Arithemetic Logic Units(ALU) power than its Predecessor.The Chipset also supports Wireless Certified Miracast
The Main USP of MediaTek is its low cost.MediaTek chips has already been used by Acer,Asus and lenevo and now It will be used by American Giant Amazon.So this is almost cleared that company will create troubles for World Leader Qualcomm as it has knocked doors in its Best market.
